WILLEMSTAD - The wheelchair ramp on the Grote Knip beach has been demolished. Construction had been halted earlier because no planning permission had been issued.
Angry citizens had petitioned the government to break down the monstrosity, because the thing would not match the pretty picture of the white / blue beach of Knip.
Other solutions are being explored to give wheelchair users access to the beach.
