WILLEMSTAD - In 2021 there will be a new design for the old ID Card or the sedula as it is known in Papiamento. Now it still stands as a country of the Netherlands Antilles, but that was really 10 years ago.
The name of the country Curaçao is on the new design. The entire operation costs the island almost 50,000 guilders. Funds that were not there before, is suddenly available.
You will only receive the new one when you renew your sedula. They are valid for 5 years.
