WILLEMSTAD - The Netherlands will include Curaçao when purchasing corona vaccines. Epidemiologist Dr. Izzy Gerstenbluth reports this at the press conference today. It is not yet known how soon it will be delivered. Dr. Gerstenbluth says it could take months before the first batch of vaccines could be delivered on the island.
Also in Curaçao, people who are more at risk will be the first to be vaccinated, such as the elderly and the chronically ill. Gerstenbluth is optimistic about the available vaccines, but says the effect is not completely clear at this time.
