The role of public businesses for a balanced budgetary policy

WILLEMSTAD - On Monday March 7, Mrs. Tamira La Cruz presented her contribution to the book "Smoldering Embers: do State-Owned Enterprises Threaten Fiscal Stability in the Caribbean" to the Governor of Curaçao, H.E. Lucille George Wout.

The publication is released by the Inter-American Development Bank and includes contributions from multiple analysts and researchers from the region.

In the book, the authors discuss the role of public companies for a balanced fiscal policy in a number of Caribbean countries with the aim of providing guidelines to policy makers. La Cruz's contribution is entitled: Institutional and Regulatory Framework of SOEs in the CCB6; A Need for Harmonization to Reduce Fiscal Risk and Increase Productivity.
