WILLEMSTAD - Yesterday evening a new corona infection was registered in Curaçao. It is a traveler who came to Curaçao from the U.S. via Aruba. This person is the second one this week and is related to the first one.
The person was already in mandatory quarantine because he was from America and was tested positive a day later. There are now three new cases on our island since the opening of the border.
Earlier this week, corona was found with a US soldier at the FOL base. In total, 28 infections have now been detected on the island. 24 of these have been declared virus-free. One person, the very first corona patient, died of the disease.
