WILLEMSTAD - Three employees of the Advent Hospital are infected with the coronavirus. There is no reason to panic according to Advent. The infected staff have been sent home to recover.
“The Antillean Adventist Hospital has always been ahead of the game in its efforts to provide protection for its patients, visitors, doctors and staff. From the start of Covid-19 in Curaçao, security measures have been taken, including the use of a face mask and / or face shield at all times,” said a representative of the hospital.
Contact tracing showed that all three employees contracted the infection through contact with family members. "As soon as we found out about this, we sent these three workers home, where they are now recovering."
“We are also awaiting further instructions from the Ministry of Public Health. As healthcare workers, we are extremely grateful for the tremendous work the Ministry is doing to try to control the virus as much as possible. That is why we continue to work in close collaboration with them every day to continue to offer safety and tranquility to all our patients.”
