WILLEMSTAD - For some students of the VSBO it is not possible to move on to a specialization in secondary vocational education (SBO). According to Member of Parliament for coalition party MFK Gilbert 'Gibi' Doran, VSBO students cannot automatically progress to the business management course at the Nilda Pinto school. The group would be too small.
Many students who have completed the theoretical framework-oriented learning path (tkl) especially want to learn how to set up their own business. The group must consist of at least seventeen students. There are always around ten or twelve people, the MP reports.
Concerned parents have approached the Public Schools Service (DOS) to find a solution. Robert Carlo, DOS director indicates that the problem has already been raised with the minister.
