WILLEMSTAD – A tourist was killed Saturday in a serious traffic accident on the Weg naar Westpunt, near Rab’i Yuana, the Curaçao Police Force (KPC) confirmed.
The victim was part of a group of tourists traveling on three-wheeled recreational vehicles. For reasons that remain unclear, the couple’s vehicle crashed head-on into a wall.
Both the man and the woman suffered severe injuries and were rushed to the Curaçao Medical Center. Despite medical efforts, the man later died from his injuries. The woman remains hospitalized.
Police have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
