WILLEMSTAD - A tourist almost drowned at Playa Porto Marie on Wednesday. Bystanders saw that the man was in trouble at sea. They immediately pulled him out of the water and called 911.
When the ambulance arrived, paramedics helped the man further. When the tourist's condition was stable again, he was taken to the emergency room of the Curaçao Medical Center for further treatment.
Earlier this year, an American tourist drowned at Playa Piskado, the man had become unwell while snorkeling.
