WILLEMSTAD - A police chase ended in a serious car accident last night. A man was killed in the process. Some time after midnight, according to the police, a patrol car in the Jan Boos district noted a car with two men driving around without light. The police wanted to stop the car, but the driver drove away.
Some time later the police found the car again. The car drove away again and the police went after it. That chase ended when the car hit an electricity pole on the Kaminda José Papa Liberia. One of the occupants was killed.
The other man was injured and had to be taken to hospital. Police have not yet revealed the name of the deceased man.
