WILLEMSTAD - On the Schottegatweg West there was a traffic death on Sunday morning. Three cars were involved in the serious accident. According to initial reports, high speed and failure to give way are to blame for the accident.
At the intersection Schottegatweg West and Bermudagweg near Post 5 three cars crashed into each other. There are traffic lights at the intersection, but on Sunday mornings it is customary that they are not in operation. According to initial reports, it appears that one of the cars did not yield right of way. In addition, a car was traveling at high speed on the road.
The rushed ambulance could do nothing for one of the victims. Two other injured were rushed to hospital. Nothing is known about their condition yet.
