WILLEMSTAD - After several accidents on the ring road and countless dangerous situations, the traffic lights on Schottegatweg Zuid near the autonomy monument are back in operation today. In the past days, all traffic lights at that dangerous intersection were out, so motorists had to estimate for themselves whether they could continue driving or not.
In order to get the traffic lights working again, the needed part was removed from another traffic light box located at the Post 5 area in North Schottegat and installed at the dangerous intersection. It is not clear when the traffic lights at Post 5 will work again.
