WILLEMSTAD - Great musician Jacobo Colina passed away early this morning. His son Gregory Colina reports this on social media.

Colina's musical career spans 60 years. The trumpeter and arranger has several (tumba) hits to his name such as 'Korda su Klaba bo Klabu', 'Boom Boom Bal'e Kayón' and 'Zjogorogo'.
He played in Grupo 6 with Rudi Cijntje, Elco Gonet, Ruben Scoop, Shon Li Reeni and Ramon Penzo, among others. The music group performed at least twice a month. He also arranged for several bands, including Los Caramelos.
With his music he has contributed to the development of Curaçao culture, tumba and nightlife.
