WILLEMSTAD - A Turkish prisoner in the SDKK prison is said to have asked for pardon. According to sources, the man has been trying for months to be transferred to a prison in his own country. His lawyer has already made several requests for this.
The man fears that, like two inmates who died earlier this year, he will die due to failure of medical care in the prison. The Turkish-born man says he has heart problems and should receive more medical care.
Due to the failure to transfer to a Turkish prison, the lawyer has filed a petition for clemency.
