WILLEMSTAD - Two people were arrested at Jan Thiel because they had forged their QR code. They wanted to go to a high-risk event. Six hundred visitors attended the event. During the check, many people were also turned away who were not in possession of a QR code.
At Faertse bay there was also an event where 250 visitors were present. Everything was fine there. Ronny Cornelis of the multidisciplinary team says that the checks will continue from Monday to Monday. The team consists of people from MEO, KPC and UBW.
Ten catering establishments were checked last Saturday. Seven locations were in order, two were fined for not wearing face masks and two people falsified their QR code at Jan Thiel. Five people were kicked out for not possessing a QR code. The owner has been warned to check better. “If you don't have a QR code, don't find ways to bypass this rule, then you'll get into trouble with the law,” says Cornelis.
In general, most people cooperate with the checks. The multidisciplinary team is very satisfied with this.
