WILLEMSTAD - After there was no electricity during the day on the entire island earlier on Monday, the power went out for the second time on Thursday. That happened around 3 p.m. and at the beginning of the evening, it was reconnected in most places.
At 9 p.m. 85 percent of the island had power again, by 10 p.m. the power had returned for everyone.
The power went out on Thursday due to a malfunction in the so-called CRU plant on the Isla site. CRU stands for Curaçao Refinery Utilities and is also known as the BOO central.
Earlier this week there was already a "blackout" on Curaçao on Monday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
