Local | By Correspondent July 6, 2020

WILLEMSTAD - The HMS (His Majesty's Ship) Medway and RFA (Royal Fleet Auxiliary) Argus will be found in the waters around Curaçao and in the port of Curaçao in the coming period. Maintenance, replenishment, and a personnel change are on the program for both ships.

The personnel change of both ships will be fully carried out with due observance of the applicable corona measures in Curaçao. The Medway personnel who have already flown in are not allowed to go ashore. For the Argus, a quarantine period for personnel precedes before the personnel change is carried out. HMS Medway is a ship with military personnel. The RFA Argus is a Royal Navy support vessel and has civilian personnel working as crews. In the hurricane season, military personnel are also placed on it to provide hurricane relief. Both ships are from the United Kingdom and can be found in the Caribbean to support anti-drug operations.
