WILLEMSTAD - Curaçao entered the weekend with two traffic deaths. The first accident happened on the Rooseveltweg near the Alves Supermarkt on Friday.
For reasons still unknown, a car overturned, and the driver was thrown out of her car. It concerns a woman from Colombia, she died on the spot. Two other occupants were injured and were transported to the Curaçao Medical Center (CMC). They are out of danger.
The second accident was early on Saturday morning. A pedestrian was hit by a car on the Monchiweg. Here, too, the emergency services could no longer mean anything for the victim and the pedestrian died on the spot.
They are the first two fatalities in traffic on Curaçao this year.
