WILLEMSTAD - Last week, two patients in the CMC hospital died from the consequences of COVID-19. This brings the number of deaths as a result of corona since the start of the pandemic to 285. There are still five patients with the infectious disease in the hospital.
34 new corona patients were added last week, compared to 82 the week before. The decrease in the number of infections can also be seen in the test ratio. It fell in one week from over eighteen percent to just over ten percent.
62 people are currently isolated because they have an active infection. That is more than half less than last week, when 116 people were still in isolation.
Aruba
In Aruba, 166 people tested positive last week. More than thirty less than the week before. The number of active cases fell from 121 to 86. 192 people were allowed to leave their isolation. There are five patients with a COVID-19 infection in the hospital, which is two more than the week before.
