WILLEMSTAD - Two employees of Damen Shiprepair Curaçao died in an industrial accident late in the afternoon yesterday. They ran into problems while working under a ship. That would have caused them to drown. Although the cause is not yet completely clear, police spokesman Imro Zwerwer confirmed last night that the two died by drowning.
According to sources, ambulance personnel was trying to resuscitate the two. But it was to no avail. Various stories are circulating about the exact cause of death. Damen Shiprepair will issue an official statement today.
