Local | By Press release December 3, 2025

WILLEMSTAD – The Civil Registry Department Kranshi, part of the Ministry of Governance, Planning and Public Service, has announced that it will open two additional afternoons exclusively for individuals who have received a residence permit under the new immigration initiative “Tuma bo Pèrmit.”

On Wednesday 3 December and Thursday 4 December 2025, Kranshi will remain open from 15:30 to 18:00 solely for these registrations. No appointment is required during these extended hours.

The Immigration Service of Curaçao recently launched the “Tuma bo Pèrmit” project to streamline the processing of residence permits. Kranshi is offering extra service hours to prevent overcrowding during normal operating times.

Individuals registering under this project must bring the following documents:

A valid passport
Residence permit stamp in the passport (Toelatingsorganisatie Curaçao)
Printed decision granting the residence permit (Toelatingsorganisatie Curaçao)
Original birth certificate (apostilled/legalized), not older than one year
A correct residential address on Curaçao (street name and house number)
Proof of residence, which may be one of the following: a valid and signed rental agreement, written permission from the main resident plus a copy of their valid ID, a purchase deed, a building permit, or an ROP form for the address if required
Proof of deregistration from the previous place of residence (if coming from within the Kingdom of the Netherlands), not older than one year

Kranshi encourages all eligible individuals to make use of these special registration hours to ensure a smooth and efficient process.
