WILLEMSTAD - The Royal Police (Marechaussee) in Curaçao yesterday arrested two military officers. One for possession of hard drugs, the other for abuse and threats.
Earlier this month, a 28-year-old soldier was arrested in Curaçao on suspicion of possession and use of hard drugs. Following an investigation into this case, the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee also arrested a 24-year-old soldier for this yesterday.
The other soldier, a 33-year-old man, was arrested yesterday on suspicion of assaulting and threatening a woman. The Marechaussee has further investigated both soldiers under the leadership of the Public Prosecution Service.
