WILLEMSTAD - Of the thirteen murders that were committed in Curaçao in 2020, the police solved eight within the year. This is evident from the crime figures that were presented on Thursday.
22 suspects were arrested. The most remarkable case is that of a missing Venezuelan, who was buried alive in Cholomo. That happened on February 8, but his body was not found until April 13. Ten people were arrested shortly afterwards.
Two of the thirteen victims were women. A firearm was used in eight cases. Six cases involved premeditated killing.
