WILLEMSTAD - On Monday, the Royal Netherlands Police (Marechaussee) arrested two women aged 34 and 26 who are suspected of money laundering.
The 34-year-old from Curaçao, who works at the Coast Guard on the island, is considered the main suspect in the investigation. The Marechaussee announced this on Wednesday.
The investigation, which is headed by the Public Prosecution Service (OM), but is being conducted by the military police, has been initiated at the request of the local authorities. The suspects were interrogated after their arrest.
