PARIS, WILLEMSTAD - During her mission at UNESCO, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Mrs. Alcalá-Wallé paid a courtesy visit to Mrs. Stefania Giannini, Assistant Director-General for Education at UNESCO Paris to talk about assistance in the field of education.
In 2018, Director General Mrs. Audrey Azoulay appointed Mrs. Giannini as one of the 4 members of the "senior management team." Mrs. Giannini is a management member at the top of the UN in the field of education.
During the visit, Minister Alcalá Wallé exchanged ideas with Mrs. Giannini on some topics of mutual interest. The conversation took place together with other Kingdom representatives, Plenipotentiary Minister of Curaçao Anthony Begina and Minister of Education of Aruba mr. Armando Lampe were also present. One of the themes was education, the education agenda and possible assistance from UNESCO. Ms. Giannini was receptive to the request to assist Curaçao through UNESCO where necessary so that the island can achieve the goals set to realize more developments in the field of education and schooling for its community.
