Local | By Correspondent March 19, 2021

WILLEMSTAD - Up until 4 o’clock this afternoon, a total of 64,420 people have used their right to vote. This gives an indication that more people will vote in this year's election compared to 2017.

In 2017 at the same hour, 59,138 people have voted. The Supreme Electoral Council (SEC) estimates that more than 80,000 people will vote. This will surpass the 70% that has voted in 2017.

Today at the Registrar’s Office, 964 people have requested a duplicate voting card. A total of 211 have also renewed their Sedula (I.D.).

The SEC believes that all the results will be in before 12 o’clock tonight.
