WILLEMSTAD - According to the Minister of Economic Development Dr. Steven Martina, there are parties which are still interested in operating the Curaçao refinery.
The minister wants clarity from the Klesch Group before the end of the month so that they can speak to other interested parties afterwards. The agreement was that Klesch Group would take over the refinery and workers from July, but this has been postponed due to the corona crisis.
The question is whether the deal will go ahead at all. According to Martina, enough other parties are interested.
