WILLEMSTAD - According to Secretary-General of the Ministry of Health, Environment, and Nature Sharlon Melfor, 41 of the 82 specialized care providers from the United States arrived in Curaçao last week. The other half follows next week.
The Americans are housed in a hotel in Otrobanda. There they are under supervised compulsory quarantine for the first two weeks. Melfor says problems like the first group that was sent back to the US in April were prevented by having all health care providers sign a list of conditions regarding their stay in Curaçao.
In addition, before the group boarded the aircraft, the minister of public health received the results of the tests. The results of these tests were negative.
