WILLEMSTAD - The USS Erie was an American patrol vessel that was torpedoed by the Germans in 1942 near the area where the Marriott hotel is located.
The shock was great last weekend. Within 24 hours of the unveiling of a commemorative plaque at the USS Erie monument, unknown people had sprayed graffiti over them, with the text: Fuck Donald Trump.
