WILLEMSTAD - According to director of telecommunications company UTS Paul de Geus, people with a permanent contract with the company will not lose their jobs.
Today, the parliament is discussing the future of UTS and the possible privatization. According to trade union SITKOM, which represents the interests of UTS employees, people are at risk of losing their jobs when the foreign company takes over.
De Geus stated yesterday that, even with a new step, the employment contracts will be respected, and people will not lose their jobs easily.
