THE HAGUE - The bonus of 1750 guilders for civil servants is contrary to the agreements made in the Kingdom Council of Ministers (RMR). This is stated by the State Secretary for Kingdom Relations Alexandra van Huffelen.
According to Minister Ornelio Martina of Management, Planning and Services, this is no reason not to pay the bonus. The State Secretary noted that the payment is contrary to the measures that have been taken. Martina indicates that Curaçao previously did not agree with the measures and that there is therefore 'no reason to panic'.
The bonus will be paid out on July 21, as previously stated.
