"Venezuelans must undergo checks naked in SDKK"

Local | By Correspondent January 25, 2021

WILLEMSTAD - The SDKK prison management continues to deny, but Human Rights Defense says the hunger strike in the immigration barracks has expanded to nine people.

Ten other Venezuelans detained there have asked for help from the human rights organization. They should undress regularly to be checked naked for drugs.

They are in their cells 18 hours a day. The food is not varied and often spoiled, there are many mosquitoes, and they have to lie on smelly mattresses. The ten are begging for help, Human Rights Defense said.
