WILLEMSTAD - The number of violent assaults and thefts on tourists is considerably lower this year. In 2018, 55 tourists fell victim to violence, this year the counter is halfway to four.
The number of home robberies with violence has increased. It was at 107 between January and May this year.
Most of the assaults are committed by young boys between 13 and 25 years old.
