WILLEMSTAD - A group of volunteers, together with the Kunuku Man, cleaned the Kaya flor di Libertat on Sunday. It's the Kunuku Man's 70th clean-up.

The volunteers spent nearly three hours cleaning the street that the Kunuku Man calls a "side road of the landfill." In total, the group has cleaned up 704 kilos of waste, of which 545 kilos were empty bottles, which is equivalent to approximately 2700 bottles.

"Incomprehensible that people are doing this to their own Dushi (lovely) island," said the Kunuku Man. "It was really to cry, I would even say that it was antisocial what we found in the mess."

The Kunuku Man represents a cleaner island. "Drink as much as you want but bring your bottles to the glass containers and not to the mondi, street or anywhere else," he posted on his Facebook page. “If this behavior continues, Curaçao will drown in and with the rubbish you donated.”

According to the Kunuku Man, the enormous number of collected bottles was immediately transported to the glass container at the gas stations.
