VPCO: school cannot survive without contribution

Local | By Correspondent June 19, 2019

WILLEMSTAD - The board of the Protestant schools says they cannot live without the parental contribution. 70 percent of the parents pay their annual contribution.

Even if it is only for Aqualectra's electricity bill, says VPCO chairman Maghaly van Der Bunt-George.

The parental contribution is not mandatory, and the students can get their diploma without their parents paying the annual contribution. Those who do pay receive priority when they are placed in high school.
