WILLEMSTAD - The VSBO-skol pa Humanista in Emmastad, the SKAIH is ready for more sustainability. The school opts for the installation of solar panels to meet its energy needs.
The students also receive special sustainability lessons. 269 solar panels will be installed on the roof of the school. The school therefore saves 145 tons of CO2 emissions per year. For comparison, to compensate for that you have to plant more than 7000 trees.
The project is partly funded by Korpodeko and Slim Opgewekt Caribbean, a sustainability company.
