WILLEMSTAD - Poisonous snails have been found in the Kabouterbos. The snails are hiding under the large boulders along the seat at the entrance/parking lot. This is what Stichting Uniek Curaçao writes on its Facebook page.
The African snails are pathogenic to both humans and animals. The mucus of the snail can cause meningitis. The snails can grow to the size of a woman's shoe.
The employees of the foundation will soon remove as many snails as possible.
