WILLEMSTAD - If you are going to the beach for the next few days, watch out when you are in the water. Portuguese man o’war, a certain type of jellyfish, are swimming again along the coast of Curaçao.
A boy was recently attacked on Bandabou, presumably by this type of jellyfish. It happened again last weekend when a girl at Marie Pampoen beach was attacked and then had to be taken to hospital.
It turned out that there were so many that beach guests no longer dared to go into the water. The next few days you have to pay close attention while swimming at the beach.
