WILLEMSTAD - There is a special water policy in the making for Curaçao. The Minister of Traffic, Transport and Spatial Planning has set up a special committee to develop such a policy. This will be an integrated policy that indicates how Curaçao will handle water more responsibly in the future.
In Curaçao 98.8 percent of the houses are connected to the Aqualectra distribution network. Slightly less than two percent of the population of Curaçao is unable to pay the water bill.
