WILLEMSTAD - Hurricane season isn't over yet. The Meteorological Service Curaçao (Meteo) warns of a tropical wave that is currently in the eastern part of the Caribbean Sea.
The storm has a 70 percent chance of developing into a hurricane in the next five days. According to the weather services, the system will pass north of Curaçao early next week.
Caribbean Weather Center (CWC) states that the presence of the tropical wave will cause winds to change from Friday. The wind is now coming from a northwesterly direction and will be from a southwesterly direction by the end of the weekend. The wind currents create high waves.
The tropical wave has a twenty percent chance of developing further in the next two days. The weather services predict that the storm will bring a lot of rain.
