Wednesday CMC lawsuit against government

Local | By Correspondent May 28, 2021

WILLEMSTAD - The lawsuit that the Curaçao Medical Center, CMC, announced earlier against the Rhuggenaath government is scheduled for next Wednesday.

The hospital's board of directors believes that the government cut health care budget is not only inadequate, but that the cut is also completely unjustified.

The management of the CMC had submitted a budget of Naf 227 million to the Ministry of Health, Nature and the Environment for the current year 2020/2021.

The ministry approved only 167 million guilders, which is 60 million less. According to the CMC, that amount is completely inadequate.
