WILLEMSTAD - The epidemiology department reports that out of 3425 people that were tested for the COVID-19 virus this week, 356 of them were positive. This is equal to a positivity rate of 10.7%. 337 cases were taken out of isolation. The total number of active infections is now 497.
After more investigation, it became known that 2 cases were recorded incorrectly. The necessary adjustments have been made.
The situation at the Curaçao Medical Center (CMC) until this morning: 6 COVID-related patients are in the hospital, 1 of them is in the ICU. Unfortunately, 2 patients have died in the hospital.
The total COVID-related death since the beginning of the pandemic is 267.
