WILLEMSTAD - The epidemiology department reports that out of 2028 people that were tested for the COVID-19 virus this week, 328 of them were positive. This is equal to a positivity rate of 16.2% and an average of 47 new cases per day. 294 cases were taken out of isolation. The total number of active infections is now 387.
After more investigation, it became known that 2 cases were recorded incorrectly. The necessary adjustments have been made.
The situation at the Curaçao Medical Center (CMC) until this morning: 3 COVID-related patients are in the hospital. None of them are in the ICU. Unfortunately, 1 person has died in the hospital.
The total number of COVID-related deaths since the beginning of the pandemic is 275.
