WILLEMSTAD - The epidemiology department reports that out of 3300 people that were tested for the COVID-19 virus this week, 484 of them were positive. This is equal to a positivity rate of 14.7% and an average of 69 new cases per day. 449 cases were taken out of isolation. The total number of active infections is now 577.
After more investigation, it became known that 2 cases were recorded incorrectly. The necessary adjustments have been made.
The situation at the Curaçao Medical Center (CMC) until this morning: 5 COVID-related patients are in the hospital. 1 is in ICU. Unfortunately, 3 persons have died, 2 at home and 1 in the hospital.
The total number of COVID-related death since the beginning of the pandemic is 270.
