PHILIPSBURG - Airline company Winair is in negotiations with the Netherlands for new financial support. The company previously received three million dollars in support, because major shareholder Sint Maarten could no longer invest in the airline.
Winair has been flying at about a fifth of its pre-pandemic capacity since the introduction of a 25% working time and salary cut. The company expects the situation to last about one and a half to two years.
