In 59 percent of the cases, an accident is caused by a man and in only 37 percent of the cases by a woman. More than 13 thousand traffic accidents occurred in 2019, involving nearly 21 thousand people. Of these, eight percent were uninsured, and thirteen percent did not have a driver's license at hand, two percent had an invalid driver's license. Someone was injured in 21 percent of the accidents. 258 accidents involved excessive alcohol consumption.
