WILLEMSTAD – On Friday, January 9, 2026, a delegation of the Women’s Steering Committee Curaçao (WSCC) paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Curaçao, His Excellency Mauritsz de Kort.
During the meeting, the committee discussed its activities and objectives with the Governor. The Women’s Steering Committee Curaçao is a foundation dedicated to supporting women and their families through the provision of social assistance and community-based initiatives.
The delegation included Mirieta Lourens-de Lanoy, President of WSCC; His Excellency Governor Mauritsz de Kort; Eveline Ignecia, Immediate Past President of WSCC; Marla Borgschot, Vice President; Marilyn Marta, Commissioner; and Glenda Wanga, Second Secretary of WSCC.
The visit provided an opportunity to exchange views on social issues affecting women and families on the island and to highlight the ongoing work of the Women’s Steering Committee within the Curaçao community.
