WILLEMSTAD - The Helmin 'Magno' Wiels Boulevard is being resurfaced. This is reported by the Minister of Transport, Traffic and Spatial Planning Charles Cooper and the Department of Public Works.
From Monday, maintenance work will take place between the roundabout at Parasa to Yotin Kòrtá. Due to the poor condition of the road, maintenance is badly needed. The maintenance is part of the 'Life Extension' project that Cooper has announced. The work will take place in two phases. Traffic heading in the direction of Parasasa will be diverted in the near future between 07:00 and 16:00.
The alternative route is indicated with orange stripes. In the second phase, the other lane will be closed. The work is expected to take one month.
