WILLEMSTAD - Curaçao again participated on Saturday with the worldwide campaign World Cleanup Day. According to the organization, many records have been broken, but they do not know exactly how many kilos have been collected during that day.
Last year it was at least 1 million kilos. 3500 people had registered, it was never that many. They went to work on Saturday at more than 100 locations, which is also a record.
The 7th edition of the cleaning campaign focused mainly on litter and dumped bulky waste.
