WILLEMSTAD – During the month of December, the Sentro di Detenshon i Korekshon Kòrsou (SDKK) organized a series of year-end activities for its inmates, creating a festive and reflective atmosphere within the facility.

Eric Jacobino, who provides weekly music therapy to inmates, entertained several housing units with sessions centered on praise and worship. In addition, a cultural exchange was organized with the tambú group Sentebibu. During this activity, inmates had the opportunity to learn about the history of tambú and enjoy performances by various tambú singers, highlighting the cultural significance of this traditional music.
Axel Cijntje also addressed inmates at SDKK, sharing his personal life testimony as part of the program. As has become tradition, Christmas carol performances were held over four days for all inmates. This year, they were treated to an impressive musical presentation by the aguinaldo group Cariñitos.
The prison management reaffirmed its commitment to continuing activities that support the well-being of inmates and expressed its appreciation to all staff members who, in one way or another, contributed to the year-end celebrations.
